Brandnew WIP pics of the dwarf mine I'm building. I've now added a kind of 'frame' using plasticard ...
... and adapted this frame to the rock:
Next step will be to close the gap between this frame and the rock with Milliput.
How do you like it so far? Anything you would have done differently? C&C greatly appreciated!
Miniature painting, terrain building, differently themed bases, dioramas, conversions, tutorials, reports on workshops and events for miniature painters. My projects have often been inspired by feedback of other hobbyists. This blog is for you! I hope that one day, it will be a source of mutual inspiration, a virtual meeting point for miniature painters to connect, share ideas, improve their skills and thus ultimately support each other in their creative work.

Nice change - really gives the impression that you're looking at a cut and polished geode, only with purple dwarf beards instead of amethyst! I hope you'll try and paint the edge like that (no, I don't know how, we'll worry about that later!)
I'm doing a test piece with a special spray paint atm. Hopefully, I'll be able to spray paint a part of my terrain piece with stone effect spray then. I won't start without making sure that the foam doesn't melt away though no matter what the primer's label says ("suitable for styrofoam").
